The summer term is a busy season for athletics in Edinburgh with several events for volunteers to get involved in. These include the schools track and field championships, which see in excess of 1500 pupils taking to the track at Meadowbank, and Edinburgh Leisure’s end of term athletics competition, a new event for 2012 and the highlight of the term for athletes in our programmes.

• Athletes competing in a number of athletics disciplines, from sprinting to endurance running and throwing to jumping!
• Assist with officiating the events both in the field and on the track, help with the administration of results, help at medal presentations and run information between officials. To register your interest in any of these events, contact

Gymnastics/Trampoline Coaching

Are you interested in becoming a Gymnastics or Trampoline Coach or would like more experience in sports coaching? At Edinburgh Leisure we offer recreational gymnastics and trampoline classes for all ages and abilities. The young athletes within the classes will learn the basic skills of the sport while having fun in a safe and friendly atmosphere with fully qualified coaches.
